KCB Injects 25 Million for KNRC and Autocross Championships
KCB Bank Kenya has re-affirmed its commitment to support motorsport in the country with a renewed Kshs.25 million boost for this year's KCB KNRC Rally and KCB Autocross championship series.
The 7 KNRC events have been allocated Kshs. 20 million while KShs.5 million will go towards the 10 KCB autocross events, run through the Kenya Motorsports Federation (KMSF).
KCB Marketing and Communications Director Angela Mwirigi said:
"We are overly excited as we launch this year's sponsorship with We are glad to note that our sponsorship has seen the motorsport industry grow from strength to strength as we prepare for the 2020 World Rally Championship Safari Rally.”

KMSF Chairman Mr. Phineas Kimathi said, 'the huge boost by KCB will go a long way in the successful staging of the events, the sponsorship has kept the sport aloft over the years" said Mr. Kimathi.
The first leg of KCB KNRC will take place on Sunday, 9th February 2020, at the scenic Kajiado and Machakos Counties.
Dozens of drivers will battle it out for top glory as the 2020 KCB National Rally series revs off at KCB Kitengela Branch with the prize-giving ceremony set to take place at Stoni Athi resort.
The event will count towards the newly created East Africa Rally Championship that will traverse Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi.
Baldev Chager, Ian Duncan, Carl Tundo, Onkar Rai will lead Kenyan charges at the event that has attracted two Ugandan, including 2019 National Rally Championship Uganda winner Yassin Nasser who will be navigated by Ali Katumba powering a Subaru GVB.
The rally reconnaissance will take place at Stony Athi Resort on 8th February, while the scrutineering checks will take place at the Sikh Union club on 8th February 2020.
