Kidero now roots for more team’s in the KPL,lauds Shabana.

Premier League next season continues to rage on with Nairobi Governor
Dr.Evans Kidero rooting for more teams to represent all counties in
Kidero said he was in full support of FKF President Sam Nyamweya
in demanding for an 18 teams league noting that it was the only way
to accommodate teams from all the counties.
‘I’m with the Football President Mr.Sam Nyamweya in advocating for
more teams in the League.Infact, every county must have a team in the
Premier League .The mood in the ground and every where is for more
teams in the League.We are ready to contribute if money is the problem
.All counties have money that can cater for their teams
participation”he said amid thunderous cheers.
Kidero made the announcement when he conducted a hurriedly
organized fundraising in aid of newly promoted Shabana FC that
raised over Kshs.3.8 million at a Nairobi Hotel on Wednesday evening.
Kidero gave a personal cash donation of Kshs. 500,000 and a similar
amount from Shabana Chairman Jared Nivaton. Nyamweya who once financed
the club broke the bank danating Ksh.I Million.
Other donations came from Deputy President William Ruto
shs.100,000. Other similar donations came from Nairobi Senator Mike
Mbuvi Sonko,Sofapaka President Elly Kalekwa and Beatrice Omanga .
Other contributions came from AFC Leopards Chairman Allan Kasavuli
who gave shs.300,000,Kisii Governor James Ongwae 150,000,Charles
Nyachae 30,000 and a further pledge of 70,000 ,Simon Mugo 15,000,Tom
Alila 10,000,and Elly Mukolwe 5,000,Club founder Dogo Khan send
sh.10,000 and a similar amount from Citizen news anchor Lilian Muli
In his speech,Nyamweya reiterated that as the FKF bus driver, he
will never waive away from advocating for a 18 team’s league since
he targets community clubs from the counties.
‘Those against an 18 team’s league are enemies of football.They have
an hidden agenda of pocketing money meant for football
development.Kidero is a true friend of Kenya football and we shall
support him.The duty of promoting and relegating clubs belongs to
FKF.We must be respected.We were elected by Kenyans all over the
country and we demand total respect”noted Nyamweya.
