Makadara MP Aladwa defies Raila to endorse DAP-K tribesman in Makongeni
Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa yesterday appeared to beading on o collision course HIS Orange Democratic Movement Party leader and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Presidential candidate Raila Odinga when he with defied Raila and endorses DAP-K candidate in the Makongeni MCA race.
Aladwa, who was attending a Luhya community meeting in Makadara constituency just days after Raila had toured the area and drummed up support for the Azimio la Umoja candidates, openly supported the candidature of the DAP-K candidate Mourice Khayesi Imbale against the current MCA assembly minority whip Peter Imwatok who was unveiled by Raila as the Azimio candidate for Makongeni ward alongside Aladwa as the Azimio Makadara MP candidate.
The move has been seen as pulling the tribal card with a majority of Makadara residents lamenting that Aladwa has over the years used his Luhyas tribe as his political tool to bulldoze himself into leadership positions.
By the time of going to press, rumor had it that Aladwa, who is also ODM Nairobi chairman had been summoned to Raila’s office to explain his move that went contrary to Raila and the Azimio la Umoja Coalition party’s position.
